Fake Profiles Becoming More Common Online

Recently I’ve been noticing way more suspicious or obviously fake profiles interacting with social media accounts. Some follow huge numbers of people without posting anything real themselves. Others constantly appear in story views but never actually interact normally. It makes social media feel less authentic compared to before. I understand bots and fake engagement have existed for years, but it feels much more noticeable lately. It also becomes difficult knowing which interactions are genuine anymore. Platforms should probably do more to remove fake activity because it affects the overall experience. Has anyone else noticed a huge increase in fake accounts recently?
